OLEIFICIO DI ORZINUOVI.
THE STORY OF A FAMILY
MADE OF SIMPLE INGREDIENTS
SINCE 1946.

Talking about OLFOOD today means going over more than 60 years of Italian food industry history again.
It was Mario Mussida, SAMOR’s founder, who started producing and selling seed oil in Italy and abroad, in the late 40’s.
His great  entrepreneurship and a stream  of business success led SAMOR, in 1963,  in the position of buying the entire block of shares of what once was the OLEIFICIO DI ORZINUOVI S.P.A, thus starting the production of vegetable fats and margarine.
That of Mario Mussida wasn’t just an entrepre-neurial mission, but a real passion, handed down to his sons Anselmo and Luigi, who joined in 1965 the company founded by their father.
In 1980 OLEIFICIO DI ORZINUOVI enlarges its activities and becomes NUOVA ODO S.P.A controlled by the SAMOR Group.
In 1984, in order to diversify the range of products and increase sales, the commercialization of vegetable oils round out the margarine production.
The needs of the market have become more varied and complex over time, thus making NUOVA ODO S.P.A enlarge its department dedicated to the craft sector, in which LIPOFOOD S.R.L ,a Turin- based company managed by the Grosso family, and leader in the production of edible fats for aver 30 years, was already operating with success.
That’s how in 2008 NUOVA ODO and LIPOFOOD have merged founding what today still is a major player in the Italian food industry sector.
